Cabinet Mounted Fiber Distribution Box

The Fiber Distribution Box (FBD) is designed to combine up to four one inch conduits into the box before entering the cabinet. Using the FDB gives you ability to utilize one HUB entry of the cabinet for four different projects (runs) of fiber. The shared path of the fiber is the distance between the box and the HUB. The short shared path will prevent the fiber from damaging when the next run occurs. The FDB can be mounted on the top (all four sites, on the top or right next to it using Bracket 1) of the cabinet or the side using Bracket 2 (all four sites), if there is no physical space.

The Fujitsu CDS mounted with the original 23" brackets places the device 8" from the front of the frame. This creates a problem when trying to close the door or run the AC. The L shape bracket we designed will recede the Fujitsu CDS into the frame. Only the cover plate will be visible from the front of the frame.

The Z shape bracket we designed will recede the Fujitsu Photonic Shelf into the frame. Only the cover plate will be visible from the front of the frame.

1.5" Hub for Communication Cabinet

The HUB will be permanently installed on the top of the cabinet. For better protection of electrical and / or optical cables a plastic liner is inserted into the bore of the hub. In addition, in order to achieve better grounding of the HUB to the frame ground of the cabinet, a lock nut will be used inside of the cabinet

Digital Train Signage for PATH

In 2018 we took on the Digital Signage project for the Path trains. Our software parses the entirely custom binary format provided by the reporting systems and sends updates to the signage within 100 milliseconds. As a piece of public facing infrastructure we followed a disaster recovery protocol where over half of the machines in our system can go down and the system remains fully functional.
